Will provide medically necessary outpatient physician services in orthopedics. Provides comprehensive orthopedic surgical care for inpatients and outpatients of all ages from newborn to elderly. Provides comprehensive pre and post operative surgical care. Evaluates adult and pediatric patients for surgical conditions and established and implements an appropriate care plan. Provides emergency care as required. Performs major and minor surgical procedures within the accepted national standards for morbidity and mortality. Surgical diseases range from neonatal to elderly. Limited pediatric procedures are performed. The most common procedure is arthroscopy. Number of patients seen per clinic will be based on community standards of practice (approximately 20/day). Support staff will be provided to facilitate patient flow. Support staff consists of one cast technician, one receptionist, and one nurse.
