Seeking Board Certified Pain Management Physician
Located on the campus of United Hospital in downtown St. Paul, United Pain Center is a hospital-based outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive services for individuals experiencing pain. The clinic offers a variety of interventions including pain medical management, injection therapies, psychological assessment and support, and biofeedback. The Center's team of specialists includes: anesthesiologists and physicians specializing in pain management, nurse practitioners, a psychologist, a biofeedback therapist, a social worker, and registered nurses.
Our team diagnoses and treats all types of pain on an outpatient basis. Chronic pain conditions may include headaches, neck and back pain, repetitive injuries or pain due to cancer or trauma. We also treat some types of acute pain.
The Pain Center is accredited by the American Academy of Pain Management. Accreditation signifies that the Center has been surveyed and found to meet published quality standards. These standards, which were developed by recognized leaders in the field of pain management, require meaningful commitment to high levels of quality and concern for the patient as an individual coping with pain. United Pain Center is the only program in the state of Minnesota to receive this recognition.
Diagnostic and therapeutic anesthesia procedures available at United Pain Center include: Botox injections, epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, nerve blocks, neurolytic injections, piriformis injections, SI joint injections, sympathetic nerve blocks and spinal diagnostics/injections. When appropriate, injections are done under fluoroscopy.
We are seeking an experienced, board certified Anesthesiologist or Physical Medicine & Rehab physician with experience and interest in interventional procedures and pain evaluation and management.
Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under fluoroscopy/sedation; with advanced skills, radiofrequency, discography, spinal cord stimulator trials; and evaluation and management of chronic pain patients.
Call is 1:6 (phone call only).
Full-time practice (4 days per week).
An electronic medical record system is utilized.
