JOB DESCRIPTION:
Maxim Government Services is searching for a qualified Pathologist to provide care for Veterans. Our client, the Albany VA Medical Center is requesting the services of a Board Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist with a minimum of three years of experience as an attending physician in surgical pathology. Any active state license will be accepted. Duties will include supervising and teaching pathology residents, performing diagnostic slide assessments, working with cytotechnologist using FNA rapid assessments, and presenting cases to the Tumor Board. Potential start date is ASAP (pending successful VA credentialing, which usually takes 4-6 weeks). Any state license works. Maxim covers malpractice insurance, temporary lodging, and relocation assistance (if applicable).
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional overtime and on-call rotation.
