Division Chief of Pediatric Hematology Oncology - Uniquely Albuquerque
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center seeks a pediatric hematologist/oncologist to serve as Division Chief. UNMs Childrens Hospital provides tertiary care to the entire state, including neonatal and pediatric intensive care, as well as complete surgical, medical and pediatric subspecialty services. A state-of-the-art inpatient pavilion provides a 20-bed specialty care ward and an adjacent infusion center. The division is affiliated with the NCI-designated UNM Cancer Center, is an NCI MB-CCOP and is jointly involved in clinical and basic research programs. We are an active participant in COG with many division members involved in major and ongoing clinical protocols, as well as disease strategy groups. The division houses state-funded hemophilia, late effects and hospice programs. Development of an autologous stem cell/bone marrow and cord blood program is underway.
