Pediatric Critical Care and Hospitalist Service
The Pediatric Critical Care and Hospitalist Service (PCCHS) at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada is recruiting for full time pediatric critical care specialists.
The PCCHS is staffed by two full-time, pediatric critical care specialists. The medical staff is assisted by mid-level providers. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 12-bed unit that serves the critical care needs of medical, surgical, and trauma patients in the pediatric department.
SHMC is a 454-bed facility recognized for its rapid growth in its 10-year history. The center includes a 28-bed level III NICU, 20-bed Pediatric Unit and 12-bed PICU. The medical staff has a full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, in addition to the hospital-associated services.
This opportunity places strong emphasis on clinical services and program growth. Fellowship training in pediatric critical care is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include clinical coverage of the PCCHS. Clinical services provided by the PCCHS include; coverage of the PICU, the pediatric hospitalist service, and the procedural sedation service.

The opportunity offers a competitive compensation package. The position requires that candidates are board certified in pediatrics and either BC/BP in pediatric critical care medicine; or possess extensive experience in pediatric critical care medicine.
