Practice Specifics: Seeking 1 Board Certified PM&R-Spinal Cord System of Care Medical Director Physician(s)
* BC in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and member of American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) with either two year's post residency experience in a spinal cord dysfunction program or one year's fellowship in a spinal cord dysfunction treatment program
* MN State Medical Board License
* Full time opportunity
* 45% inpatient, 45% outpatient, 10% medical director
* Call includes clinic and hospital
* The Spinal Cord System of Care(SCSC) medical director will provide advocacy for persons with spinal cord dysfunction
* Ensures SCSC's adherence to Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute (SKRI), constituent hospitals, and Allina Hospitals & Clinic's policies on ethical conduct
* Participates in SCSC strategic and financial planning and decision making
* Ensures the adequacy of the individual treatment prescription for all person serviced, including notations of contraindications and precautions developed with the participation of professional personnel
* Oversees the decision-making process for admission and continued stay of the persons served in the SCSC
* Provides input in the medical issues of the persons served
* Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders
* Participates in SCSC performance improvement
* Establishes policies and procedures that identify functions and responsibilities of the rehabilitation physicians providing treatment in the SCSC
* Develops and modifies the SCSC
* Participates in outcome measurement and use of outcome data obtained for program and organizational management
