Description Cardiovascular PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT FULL TIME POSITION Candidate Criteria: Graduation from an AMA approved PA/SA training program and is recognized by the New York State Education Department. Nationally Board Certified through the NCCPA as required by the State of New York. Obtain 100 CME hours (50 Category I, 50 Category II) every two years to maintain Board certification. Taking re-certification every 6 years as required by the NCCPA. ACLS certified (every 2 years). Environment: • Hospital in upstate, NY • Hospital Employment • 455 inpatient beds Job duties: To perform, under the responsibility and supervision of a designated physician, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to improve the care available to patients treated at the Hospital. This will also allow the physician to extend his/her services through the more effective use of his/her knowledge in the sphere of decision making required to establish a diagnosis and to execute therapy. He/she may assist in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the physician. Works with the Cardiovascular Service Team to provide assistance in the care of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery patients in the hospital including the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit. Must have active participation in and appropriate leadership skills for the hospital code team. Work schedule: • Night shift, 7 pm to 7 am, seven (7) day per week coverage • Three (3) twelve (12) hour shifts 1st week, four (4) twelve (12) hour shifts 2nd week Compensation: • Salary: $92,000 to $100,000 per year based on experience • Malpractice (Occurrence) Insurance • Competitive benefit package • CME Stipend of $2,000 per year • 403(b) TSA retirement programs Contact ychambers@opendoorunlimited.com, 888-615-5217 ext. 12.
