Oncology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Oregon hospital affiliated with OHSU seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Oncology team. The practice requires seeing up to 20 patients per day, addressing urgent needs and evaluating the patient situation to determine the tolerance of the treatment, review labs, and modify orders as needed. The practitioner will see new patients in conjunction with attending physician and write chemotherapy orders when treatment plan has been initiated by attending physician in compliance with credentialed privileges. The practitioner will manage patient anticoagulation as appropriate, and work closely with phone triage staff to manage patient issues and problems, as well as see patients emergently as appropriate or requested by attending physician.
