Orthopedic PA -- Ketchikan, Alaska
Join one full-time Ortho Surgeon and 2 full-time Ortho PA\'s
Call is 1:3, every third day, every third weekend.
Team is doing about 30 case per month; 45 total joints per year
Opportunity for occasional outreach work on nearby island.
The local community has a total of 35 providers who enjoy a collaborative and collegial environment.
Requirements:
Seek an experienced PA, ideally with a minimum of 2-3 years in Orthopedics
Enjoy autonomy, while also collaborating well with the surgeon and additional PA and operating room teams.
Experienced and comfortable with first assist in surgeries including hip, knee and should arthroscopy, hand, foot and ankle surgeries, and total joints.
Comfortable seeing 12-15 patients per day in the clinic, and rounding on patients in the hospital.
Experience with sports medicine, and comfortable with some pediatric orthopedics.
