North Star Behavioral Health in Anchorage, Alaska is recruiting new Staff Psychiatrists. There are 2 position options - Inpatient and Residential Treatment OR Outpatient Counseling. Patient population for both positions will be children and adolescents with some adult in outpatient. The position duties of the Inpatient / RTC physician include admission evaluations, treatment planning leadership and participation and daily care of patients in a structured multidisciplinary therapeutic environment. There is limited rotated call coverage.
The position duties for the Outpatient Counseling physician include initial psychiatric evaluations and assessments and medication management as well as some triage clinical care. The clinical work settings at North Star are collegial professional environments where there is opportunity to work with a qualified multidisciplinary team of other doctors and therapists. There is opportunity for personal and professional growth. The compensation plan will include base salary, benefits and bonus opportunity. Candidates must be BE/BC in Child Psychiatry or if a General Psychiatrist in outpatient must see some adolescents.
