The Medical Director Position is a highly visible and important position at Summit Ridge Hospital. The position duties include administrative clinical management of the hospital and direct clinical care of patients in hospital based services of inpatient and partial programs. The Medical Director will work closely with staff on quality improvement initiatives and risk management, providing clinical administrative supervision to other physicians and clinical staff. Program development and liaison activities with community referral sources and managed care companies are critical components in the position. Direct clinical care duties include initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and management of a limited patient caseload.
This is a full-time position with a reasonable call schedule. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered. Ideal candidates will be board certified / eligible in General Psychiatry and or any subspecialty and have some previous clinical/administrative experience.
