Medical Director for Residential Treatment Center for Children and Adolescents. Duties for the position include clinical care of patients including admission evaluations, treatment team leadership and interaction with multidisciplinary treatment team clinical staff. Patients are 7-17 years of age with general psychiatric and dual diagnoses treatment issues. The Medical Director will also work with program development, referral source development, and quality management.
The work care setting is a collegial professional environment where there is opportunity to work with a qualified team of other staff and therapists. There is limited week night and weekend call. The compensation plan includes salary, benefits and incentive plan. Ideal candidates will be BE/BC in Child Psychiatry.

The clinical programs at OakPlainsAcademy have been designed to address the needs of Children and adolescents with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Residents who have been dually diagnosed and require substance abuse treatment will receive services with our licensed drug and Alcohol Counselors. The therapeutic milieu is established through a Positive Reinforcement System which allows each resident to earn special privileges and provides the opportunity to enhance self esteem through personal achievement. Educational services are offered to meet the learning needs of each resident, offering small classrooms and one-on –one instruction.
