General Psychiatrist – Salaried Employment OR Private Practice – 1 hour from Texas Coast
South Texas Behavioral Health Center is recruiting a new General Psychiatrist in McAllen, Texas. The new physician can be a salaried employee of the hospital or have the option of private practice. The clinical practice will be a combination of inpatient, partial and outpatient clinical care. The primary patient population is adult age with psychiatric and dual diagnoses. Call is shared among the active physicians on staff.
The hospital will offer a very competitive compensation package that will include salary, benefits and incentive if employed OR income guarantee and practice overhead. In addition Service Director Position and compensation with one of the hospital programs will be offered.
South Texas Behavioral Health Center features 134 beds with dedicated units to accommodate inpatient treatment for adult, child, adolescent and geriatric patients. Programs are designed to help us treat a wide range of behavioral health conditions and addictive disorders. Our teams develop individualized treatment plans which lead the path to recovery. Programs such as partial hospitalization and outpatient therapy are also offered. Physicians have great administrative and clinical support in their work with patients at STBHC and there is much opportunity for personal and professional practice growth.
McAllen, Texas is located just one hour from the beautiful coast of the Gulf of Mexico! The cities of Brownsville and Harlingen are located within easy drives of the McAllen area, and Corpus Christi is located just 2 1/2 hours north.
