Stonington Institute located in North Stonington, Connecticut is recruiting new Psychiatrist. We are expanding our clinical program services and have position options for fulltime, part-time employment or contract weekend coverage. Physician responsibilities for fulltime or part-time will include admission evaluations, direct care of patients in the inpatient rehab and partial programs, and treatment team planning and leadership. If contracted weekend coverage duties would be beeper call and rounds with patients on the inpatient rehab unit.
Founded in 1957, the Stonington is the longest continuously operating treatment facility in New England and an innovative leader in substance abuse treatment. Services are located on the North Stonington campus and at outpatient clinics in Groton and Waterford. Stonington serves both adults and adolescents with treatment programs that include: Medical Detoxification; Rehabilitation/Residential Treatment; Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Services.
The programs developed over the past decades reflect the changing needs of our clients, knowledge about treatment, and the changing treatment environment. Our clinical and medical staffs are trained and expert not only in treating chemical dependence, but also in psychiatric issues and those who are dually diagnosed. The staff reflects different theoretical perspectives to meet the treatment needs of a wide variety of individuals.
