Residency program is moving out of their facility - as a result, the 30-physician Hospitalist group has a job opportunity for locums coverage while they recruit permanent physicians. Located in northeast Oklahoma, this is a 580-bed hospital with a 60-bed ICU consisting of three separate units. They are looking for 1-2 ICU Hospitalists or Pulmonary Critical Care physicians. The locums will round in the ICU; must be comfortable with all ICU procedures - specifically intubations and central lines. There are three teams of two ICU physicians and nine teams of two Hospitalists on day shifts; three physicians on night shift. Hospitalist program provides 24/7 on-site coverage, so no call is required. Backup and 17 midlevels are also present for support. Locums physician will be required to respond to codes, as well as do admits. Facility averages 2-3 admits per shift per team. Patient census is 9-14 patients per day.
