This incredible Radiation Oncology locum tenens job opportunity in central Georgia has everything one could want. A two-physician, freestanding clinic is looking to add a second Radiation Oncologist to its combined Medical Oncology/Radiation Oncology team. The practice will be renewing its contract with a nearby state-of-the-art hospital and is going to be expanding as the senior Radiation Oncologist is looking to allow himself more free time. The right candidate for this position is going to have either long-term locums availability or the willingness to do a 30- to 45-day locums trial period before the option of a permanent position. If the match is great from the beginning, permanent candidates would be warmly welcomed as well. A typical day is Mon-Fri, 7am-3pm or 9am-5pm, with an average of 16-20 PPD. Patient ratio is 100% adult and 99% of work is outpatient. Candidates can be Board Certified or Board Eligible and must be comfortable with IMRT, IGRT, Brachytherapy/Seed implants, HDR, LDR, External Beam Therapy, and 3D Conformal. Must also be very patient oriented and able to adapt well to the atmosphere of this practice while still having extremely strong clinical skills. Outgoing personalities are a plus for future marketing potential. Support staff includes on-site physicists, dosimetrist, two nurses, six techs, and front desk staff. Equipment includes - one Varian and one Siemen's linear accelerator, which will be upgraded as soon as the group merges with the local hospital in the near future. The permanent position would employ the right physician under the group entity while they contract with the hospital. Travel and lodging, malpractice insurance, and a competitive wage will be provided for locums candidates.
