Description Excellent locum tenens job opportunity for a Radiation Oncology doctor in fantastic Knoxville, Tennessee. Major cancer treatment system has three oncology clinics in Knoxville and five clinics in the nearby area. There are also eight radiation/oncology centers in their system. This group needs coverage at a new state-of-the-art 18,000 sq. ft. radiation treatment center. Locums doctor will work at the new site located 20 miles east of Knoxville. The group is searching for a perm doctor and would welcome a locums who would be interested in exploring that option. You will see 15-20PPD. There is shared call. Initially, schedule will be three days per week, 8AM-4PM. This is expected to grow quickly. The Elekta linear accelerator will provide patients with the most advanced and accurate radiation therapy available. The client was the first facility in the region to offer Positron-Emission Tomography (PET). With its higher resolution, the PET•CT at this ultra new facility can find tumors and the spread of cancer at the molecular level, long before they would become visible with other systems. It can also determine cancer stages for more effective treatment planning. State-of-the-art clinics; part of MD Anderson network. Full staff at each clinic. Hospital privileges at two major Knoxville hospitals. Board Certified or Board Eligible. IMRT, 3D-Planning, and Brachytherapy are required procedures. Knoxville has everything you could want.
