A 296-bed regional medical center, which is the largest full-service, acute-care medical center in the nine-parish area of Acadian, has a three-doctor radiation oncology group and needs vacation coverage in July and August. State-of-the-art cancer treatment center is located in the hospital. You will see 15-20 PPD. Procedures include Bracytherapy, IMRT, HDR, LDR, 3D-Planning, and Seed Implants. Staff includes medical oncologists, two radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, registered nurses, as well as a full admin staff. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM. Call is 1:3. The center has two photon linear accelerators which utilize IMRT. A Nucletron CT Simulator is used for 3D Treatment Planning. The radiation oncology center has Brachytherapy capabilities that include HDR Brachytherapy and external beam radiation oncology. If you love Cajun, this will be Heaven!
