This Community Cancer Center in Bloomington/Normal, IL is seeking a
Medical Director to provide professional medical direction to facilitate fulfillment
of the Center’s mission. Direction is provided to the cancer program including quality initiatives, adoption and education on standards of care, research programs,
professional education, cancer control and community outreach. As spokesperson
and representative of the Community Cancer Center, the Medical Director
communicates to the medical community the need for appropriate cancer education and management. In conjunction with the Executive Director and Cancer
Program Administrator, this physician provides overall direction and coordination
of the cancer program. Opportunity includes half-time clinical practice and
half-time as Medical Director.
The qualified candidate will:
-Maintain current clinical knowledge base and skills
-Be board certified in Radiation Oncology
-Have 5+ years’ experience as a Radiation Oncologist
-Be able to work well with a multidisciplinary team
-Communicate effectively with people of all levels of training
-Serve as the Center’s physician representative to the American College
of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer, and other cancer agencies
