Description Radiation Oncologist physician needed to take senior leadership position in eastern North Carolina. Will serve as the Clinical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology and the Associate Cancer Center Director for the Division of Clinical Radiation Oncology. Primary responsibility will be to provide supervision of departmental clinical activities. Needs at least ten years experience in Clinical Radiation Oncology with a record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and experience in clinical trials. Prior experience in an academic department and in a multidisciplinary cancer center is required. Participates in the provision of clinical care, oversees day to day clinical operations and assures that all clinical sites have adequate coverage. Will assist with departmental and cancer center budget development, and participate in strategic planning and assessment for the department and the cancer center. Represents the department and/or the Cancer Center at school, university, community, regional, and national activities, and performs other duties as directed by the Department Chairman or Cancer Center Director.
