radiologist shall provide an estimated number of 1,500 radiology studies per month, which consist of 83% - standard films, 10% - ultrasounds, 5% - fluoroscopic studies, and 2% special studies (IVP's, VCUG's and Venograms). Shall provide the following types of radiology services at CCHCF: plain films, tomograms, ultrasounds, barium studies, and fluoroscopy. Shall interpret and "document" the interpretation of all x-rays, tomograms and sonograms presented for interpretation. Documentation consists of a brief, written "wet" reading on each study at the time they are read; provide a formal written report within 48 hours of the interpretation study, and review and sign all formal reports. shall perform and interpret all scheduled special studies, fluoroscopy, barium studies, IVP's and venograms. shall contact the ordering physician immediately if the interpretation of a study suggests a significant health risk to the individual. All other x-ray discrepancies (without major clinical significance) will be documented through a reporting system established in the Department of Radiology.
