Well established, large, multi-specialty surgical practice is actively recruiting a General Thoracic Surgeon due to the approaching retirement of another thoracic surgeon in the group. Current surgeon performs roughly 400 surgeries per year. The practice is a full spectrum thoracic practice with an especially large number of esophageal cases and does not include cardiac or vascular work. Use of VATS technology. Fellow surgeons in the practice specialize in general, laparoscopic, bariatric and transplant surgery. This is an excellent opportunity to join and eventually take over arguably the largest thoracic surgery practice in the state. Practice is located in a bustling metropolitan area with one university and two private colleges offering theater productions, concerts, art exhibits, and nationally known guest speakers. The arts flourish in this city as well as fine and casual dining. A popular river area features live music, restaurants and shops. The area is located next to a large outdoor amphitheater where concerts, movie nights and festivals with well-known performers are often held.
